Finding Your Speaking Voice:  Lessons from a Bullying Survivor

Professional speaker and entertainer, Edna Nerona, will share her experiences with bullying, mental health therapy, and public speaking.   The presentation will include a Q&A and a chance for audience members to practice impromptu speaking. 

About our presenter:

Edna Nerona is a dynamic Gen X Filipina speaker and entertainer who is making an impact on mental health and diversity. As an anti-bullying speaker, shew has shared her struggles and lessons from being bullied in middle school and dealing with the perfectionist standards of her Filipino immigrant parents.    

Last year she was a San Diego Business Journal honoree for Asian Pacific Islands Leaders of Influence and a finalist for Business Women of the Year.  

She has also entertained audiences as a stand-up comedian and pianist. She is the keyboardist for the musical comedy trio Less Than Four Play.
Recent performance accomplishments include the 2024 Motions and Emotions: Asian Women Speak Out Event and an honorary mention for the American Protégé International Piano and String Competition 2024 at Carnegie Hall in NYC.
